AuliAuli is a high-altitude meadow with some of Uttarakhand's widest Himalayan panoramas, including views of Nanda Devi, and it's India's best-known ski destination in winter, with a cable car connecting up from Joshimath.
Outside the ski season it's equally worthwhile for the views alone — open meadows framed by snow-capped peaks, with far fewer visitors than the more famous hill stations.
January to March for skiing and snow; April to June for green meadows and clear views.
A long full-day drive from Rishikesh or Haridwar via Joshimath; usually built into a longer Garhwal Himalaya itinerary.

Plan My Trip WhatsApp UsNo — equipment rental and basic instruction are available locally, and many visitors come simply for the views rather than to ski.
