A safari itinerary built for photographers, with multiple game drives at each park scheduled around the best early-morning and late-afternoon light rather than a standard tourist timetable.

Why This Journey

Good wildlife photography depends on light and repeated safaris rather than a single drive; this itinerary allows more time at each park specifically for that reason.

Wildlife sighting disclaimer: Tiger and other wildlife sightings occur in a natural, unfenced habitat and can never be guaranteed on any safari, regardless of the number of drives booked. We structure itineraries to give you the best reasonable opportunity to see wildlife — including multiple drives and experienced local naturalists — but we do not promise, and you should not expect, a guaranteed sighting.

Day by Day

Day 1
Arrive Bandhavgarh

Drive or transfer to Bandhavgarh National Park, which has one of the highest tiger densities of any reserve in India. Afternoon safari into the core zone.
Day 2
Bandhavgarh Sightseeing

Further safari drives through Bandhavgarh's varied sal-forest and grassland habitat, home not only to tigers but leopards, deer species and prolific birdlife, with an early-morning drive typically the most productive.
Day 3
Bandhavgarh Sightseeing

A further safari into a different zone of the park, plus an optional visit to the ancient hilltop fort that gives the reserve its name, with its collection of rock-cut sculptures.
Day 4
Onward to Kanha

Drive from Bandhavgarh to Kanha (approx. 4.5–5 hours).
Day 5
Kanha Sightseeing

Further game drives across Kanha's different zones, home to tigers, the rare hard-ground barasingha deer (saved from near-extinction here), and some of Central India's richest birdlife.
Day 6
Kanha Sightseeing

A further game drive through Kanha's sal and bamboo forest, with time to visit the small park museum on the reserve's history and conservation work.
Day 7
Departure

Morning at leisure in Kanha before a private transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
