Kanha and Pench are geographically close and both strong tiger habitats, making this a naturally efficient pairing without the longer drives some other central India combinations require.

Day by Day

Day 1
Arrive Kanha

Drive or transfer to Kanha National Park, the reserve widely said to have inspired Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book. Afternoon safari through its open sal and bamboo forest.
Day 2
Kanha Sightseeing

Further game drives across Kanha's different zones, home to tigers, the rare hard-ground barasingha deer (saved from near-extinction here), and some of Central India's richest birdlife.
Day 3
Kanha Sightseeing

A further game drive through Kanha's sal and bamboo forest, with time to visit the small park museum on the reserve's history and conservation work.
Day 4
Onward to Pench

Drive from Kanha to Pench (approx. 4.5–5 hours).
Day 5
Pench Sightseeing

Further safari drives through Pench's teak and mixed forest, with a noticeably less crowded safari experience than Ranthambore or Bandhavgarh, alongside good sightings of deer, sloth bear and birdlife.
Day 6
Pench Sightseeing

A further game drive along the Pench river valley, one of the park's most scenic and reliably active stretches for wildlife sightings.
Day 7
Departure

Morning at leisure in Pench before a private transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
