Karnataka Circuit — Mysore, Hampi & CoorgA Karnataka-focused route covering three very different sides of the state — Mysore's royal architecture, Hampi's ancient ruins, and Coorg's coffee-growing hill country.
Karnataka rarely gets the same attention as Kerala or Tamil Nadu on a first South India trip, but Hampi in particular is one of India's most visually striking historic sites and worth the detour on its own.
Drive into Mysore, a stately Karnataka city built around one of India's grandest royal palaces. Evening visit timed, where possible, for the palace's Sunday or festival illumination, when close to 100,000 bulbs light up the facade.
A full day covering Mysore Palace's interior, Devaraja Market's spice and flower stalls, and (season permitting) a drive up Chamundi Hill for temple views over the city.
Drive or train from Mysore to Hampi (approx. 6.5–7 hours by road).
A full day exploring Hampi's temple and market ruins by bicycle or auto-rickshaw — the Virupaksha Temple, Vittala Temple's stone chariot, and the Royal Enclosure — spread across a site large enough to easily fill two days.
Drive from Hampi back toward Coorg (approx. 7–7.5 hours, or via Mysore to break the journey).
A coffee-estate walk and tasting, plus the option of a short trek to Abbey Falls or a visit to the Golden Temple (Namdroling Monastery) at nearby Bylakuppe, a large Tibetan settlement.
Morning at leisure in Coorg before a private transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
Well-located hotels in each city, twin-sharing with breakfast included; a 5-star or heritage-property upgrade is available on request.
Private air-conditioned vehicle and driver for the full itinerary, plus any internal flights specifically listed in the day-by-day plan; airport transfers included.
Daily breakfast included. Lunches and dinners are at your own choice so you can explore local restaurants, with recommendations from your guide — let us know if you'd prefer these pre-arranged instead.
