Grand Kerala LoopThe complete Kerala circuit, touching every register the state is known for — Kochi's colonial-era harbour town, Munnar's tea estates, Thekkady's forests, an Alappuzha houseboat night and Kovalam's beaches, in one unhurried route.
Rather than picking one side of Kerala, this route is built to show all of them — heritage, hills, wildlife, backwaters and coast — without rushing any single stop.
Private airport pickup and transfer to your hotel in Fort Kochi. Evening walk past the Chinese fishing nets on the waterfront, followed (most evenings) by a Kathakali dance performance introducing the elaborate make-up and storytelling of this Kerala art form.
A walking tour of Fort Kochi and Mattancherry — Portuguese and Dutch-era architecture, the Jewish Synagogue quarter, spice warehouses that once anchored a global trade route, and some of Kerala's best café scene.
Drive from Kochi to Munnar (approx. 4–4.5 hours through the Western Ghats).
A visit to a working tea estate and factory to see processing up close, followed by time at Mattupetty Dam or, season permitting, a short walk toward Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri tahr.
Drive from Munnar to Thekkady (approx. 3.5–4 hours).
A boat cruise on Periyar Lake in search of wildlife along the water's edge (elephant, sambar deer and, with luck, gaur), plus the option of a guided forest walk with local tribal trackers.
Drive from Thekkady to Alappuzha (approx. 4–4.5 hours).
A slower second day on or around the backwaters, either extending the houseboat cruise or transferring to a canal-side resort for canoe trips through the narrower waterways that houseboats can't reach.
Drive from Alappuzha to Kovalam (approx. 4–4.5 hours).
Free days at Kovalam for swimming, optional Ayurvedic treatments (Kerala's traditional wellness system), or a half-day excursion to nearby Poovar for a quieter backwater-meets-beach setting.
Morning at leisure in Kovalam before a private transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
