Golden Triangle with Varanasi & Ranthambore

10 days / 9 nights Price on Request Signature

Overview

An extended Golden Triangle itinerary adding both a tiger safari at Ranthambore and a spiritual close in Varanasi, for travellers who want monuments, wildlife and the Ganges in a single trip.

Why This Journey

This is our fullest North India combination — monuments, a wildlife safari and Varanasi's ghats — for travellers with the time to see all three rather than choosing just one extension.

Wildlife sighting disclaimer: Tiger and other wildlife sightings occur in a natural, unfenced habitat and can never be guaranteed on any safari, regardless of the number of drives booked. We structure itineraries to give you the best reasonable opportunity to see wildlife — including multiple drives and experienced local naturalists — but we do not promise, and you should not expect, a guaranteed sighting.

Highlights

  • The Taj Mahal at sunrise
  • Jeep safaris at Ranthambore National Park
  • Jaipur's forts and palaces
  • The evening Ganga Aarti in Varanasi

Day by Day

  • Day 1

    Arrive Delhi

Private airport pickup and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, the rest of the day is free to rest, or we can arrange a gentle evening orientation drive past India Gate and the illuminated government buildings of Lutyens' Delhi.

  • Day 2

    Delhi Sightseeing

A full day split between the two Delhis: Old Delhi's Jama Masjid, a walk or cycle-rickshaw ride through the lanes of Chandni Chowk, and the exterior of the Red Fort, followed by an afternoon covering Humayun's Tomb, India Gate and a photo stop at Qutub Minar.

  • Day 3

    Onward to Agra

Drive from Delhi to Agra (approx. 3.5–4 hours).

  • Day 4

    Onward to Ranthambore

Drive from Agra to Ranthambore (approx. 5–5.5 hours).

  • Day 5

    Ranthambore Sightseeing

Two further safari drives (typically one at dawn, one in the late afternoon, when wildlife is most active), with naturalist guides who know the resident tigers' territories well — though as with any wild sighting, nothing can ever be guaranteed.

  • Day 6

    Onward to Jaipur

Drive from Ranthambore to Jaipur (approx. 4–4.5 hours).

  • Day 7

    Jaipur Sightseeing

A full day of Jaipur's headline sights: Amber Fort in the morning light, then the City Palace, the Jantar Mantar observatory and a photo stop at Hawa Mahal.

  • Day 8

    Onward to Varanasi

Fly from Jaipur to Varanasi (approx. 2–2.5 hours, via a connection).

  • Day 9

    Varanasi Sightseeing

A pre-dawn boat ride along the ghats as the city wakes and the first bathers and prayers begin — widely considered the single best way to see Varanasi — followed by breakfast and a guided walk through the Old City's dense lanes of temples and shrines.

  • Day 10

    Departure

Morning at leisure in Varanasi before a private transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
